Try these amazingly tasty and crispy poha cutlets for breakfast!

Welcome to moodyfoodieno.1 guys, we will be looking at the recipe for poha cutlets in this post. So, without further adieu let's check out the ingredients and recipe.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups poha/flattened rice

  • 3 medium size boiled potatoes

  • 1/4th cup grated carrot

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder

  • 1 tsp chat masala powder

  • 1/2 tsp dried mango (aamchur) powder

  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder

  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste

  • 2 pieces of green chilies (finely chopped)

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 2 tsp all purpose flour (maida)

  • Bread crumbs

  • Oil for shallow frying

Instructions

Wash the poha thoroughly with water and soak for 10 mins. Boil the potatoes and grate them. Take a bowl and add grated potatoes, soaked poha, finely chopped green chilies and coriander leaves, grated carrot, salt, black pepper powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala powder, dried mango (aamchur) powder, red chilly powder, lemon juice and ginger-garlic paste. Mix all the ingredients until well combined. Take a generous portion of the dough and shape into a cutlet or any desired shape. Prepare rest of the cutlets in the same way. Keep them in refrigerator for 10 mins.

Meanwhile, make a thin paste of all purpose flour (maida) and water, add salt and black pepper powder to it. Now, take out the cutlets and dip each one into the paste and then coat them with bread crumbs.

Take a pan and add oil for shallow frying. Let the oil heat on medium flame. Fry the cutlets until crisp and golden brown from both the sides. Take out them on tissue papers so that the extra oil gets absorbed. You can sprinkle some chaat masala and finely chopped coriander leaves to garnish it. Serve with your favorite sauce/chutney.
